Our Shared Values

Essentials for success

Conformity to Jesus {Character and Conduct} — Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:1, Philippians 2:13-16

We see our individual and community identity as not only relating to Jesus Christ, but conforming to His image in all aspects of existence. We desire to live with the same attitude and character as Christ; passionately committed to participate in His work as we shine like stars to bring glory to His name.

Scripture {Daily Study} — Ps 1:2-3, Ps 119:10-11, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20, Genesis 2:14

We recognize the value of the written scripture and the importance of its place in our everyday lives. It is through the scriptures that we come to know of our creator, what He says about good and evil, what gives our lives value and meaning, and the purpose for which we were created. Through scripture we see how those who have come before us have lived their lives, devoted to the one that made us in His image and His likeness.

Prayer {Daily fellowship with God} — Ps 119:18, Jeremiah 33:3

We were created for a life of dynamic interaction with a living and active God who is always moving in our lives and on the earth. Prayer is at the very heart of how we live our relationship with God. A life of prayer is what allows us to track the movements of God's heart. It's where God reveals to us who He is and who we are, what He's doing in us and around us, and the dreams of His heart for us and for all that we see. And it's where God releases the grace and the power to see those dreams become reality. Prayer is about our hearts connecting with the heart of God. That connection is God's deepest desire, our soul's greatest longing, and the greatest power on earth.

Worship {Expression of Love to God} — Romans 12:1, Hebrew 9:1

We seek to be people who are deeply aware of the sacredness throughout all of life and rejoice always because of God’s faithfulness and goodness. We believe that real worship is more than just music at church, but a lifestyle of expressing our love for God through our work, words, and willingness to participate with Him in all He is doing in the world.

Community {Corporate and individuals relationship} — 1 Tim 4:13, John 13:35, Heb 10:25, 1 John 1:3

We believe we are a people who were not designed to live our lives individually, but communally. As the body of Christ, we desire to help carry each other's burdens, pray for one another and confess our sins to one another; working together for the common good of all and growing in love and friendship as we experience God. We believe He has given us a strategy primarily through small groups (House Churches), but also through larger community events and ministries.

Discipleship {Teaching and learning} — Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 6:40, Acts 8:30-31, Col 1:28

We acknowledge that discipleship is a key factor in an individual’s spiritual growth and maturity. We see the importance, throughout scripture, of teaching the word and modeling the character and lifestyle of Jesus Christ as we are lead by His Spirit. We believe that, while someone can learn through personal devotion to study, the scriptures were designed to be taught and explained until someone has reached spiritual maturity.

Evangelism and Missions {Spread the Gospel} — Mark 16:15, 1 Timothy 2:3-7

We recognize the need for the gospel of Jesus to be shared in our cities, states, nation, and to furthest reaches of the globe. Despite racial, social, economic, political, or gender differences, we believe that Jesus is the foundation and revelation of truth for all peoples. Since God’s will is that everyone be saved and come to the knowledge of Him, we send and support people in ministry both domestic and abroad.
