It's finally done! We now have the long awaited—new and improved—FCC website. For many of you this may be the first you've heard of it, but it has been a project almost a year in the making.
The leadership at Faith Community felt it was important to stay up-to-date with ever changing advances in technology. So in May of last year it was agreed that the church website needed an injection of new life and function. We believe the results have been well worth the wait. FCC hired Jarrett Green of Blink Media Group to take us into the web 2.0 era with blogs, interactive information and a shiny new look.
As the project got under way, we faced the question, "what is the purpose of this site?" Through much discussion and a couple tense meetings, we arrive at a suitable design and function — which continued to evolved over the course of the site's construction. The main purpose was to provide the members and house churches of FCC an interactive and effective way to communicate and be informed about what's going on at FCC. We wanted to provide prospective members information about who we are and what we are all about, as well as give existing members the opportunity to share their hearts and talk about what Jesus is doing in their lives.
Some of the features we have included are:
We still have more content and information coming soon. So, check the website frequently or subscribe to our blog and have the information sent to you as it is posted. I hope everyone is able to enjoy the hard work those at BMG — as well as FCC — have put into making this website possible.
Special thanks to: Jonathan Wood for his design experience and willingness to help out. The financial council for recognizing the need for technology in ministry. Philip Wood for always being an encouragement and support in any new venture. Jarrett Green at BMG for putting up with us through the whole process and working so hard to meet our crazy request.
